1-1 Tutorials

A personalised three-month programme to help you develop your painting practice.

Work closely with artist and tutor Liz Hough across three monthly one-to-one sessions designed to move your work forward with clarity, confidence, and creative momentum. Whether you want to develop a new series, deepen your understanding of your own artistic voice, or focus on a specific project, these sessions provide tailored guidance and ongoing support.

How it works:

• Arrange your sessions

Get in touch with Liz to find a convenient time that fits your working routine. Sessions usually take place on Fridays, and all three dates are scheduled before the first meeting.

• Share your work in advance

Send your images via WhatsApp a few days before each session. It’s an easy way to exchange work, comments, and ideas in real time.

• Your 45-minute tutorial

After looking through your images, Liz will call you for an in-depth tutorial lasting around 45 minutes. Each session focuses on your current work, progress, and next steps.

• Personalised guidance and tasks

You’ll receive suggestions tailored to your own artistic development. These may include a practical task, research into relevant artists, exhibitions to explore, films to watch, or a project to begin.

• Notes sent after each session

Liz will send written notes via WhatsApp immediately after your tutorial, giving you clear direction to work from between sessions.

• Cost

£450 for the set of three sessions, payable by BACS or PayPal.
